What is the Member Advisory Committee?
The VillageCareMAX Member Advisory Committee is composed by a group of VillageCareMAX members that represent our diverse population and needs. They come together to provide advice, opinions, raise issues, and suggest solutions with the purpose of improving all VillageCareMAX Members experience. They meet with representatives from all departments within VillageCareMAX including Member Services, Enrollment and Eligibility, Grievance and Appeals, Case Management, Provider Relations, and the Quality Department.
Frequency
The Committee meets quarterly. Participation in person is encouraged, but members may participate remotely if necessary. To encourage the participation of our diverse population and accommodate cultural and linguistic needs, meetings will be held on a rotating basis in each borough of the VillageCareMAX service areas.
Remaining meetings for 2024 are scheduled for:
- December 17th, 2024 (Manhattan)
Agenda
Items identified by VillageCareMAX leadership staff; where issues have been identified or where participant input/feedback is desired.
The committee members will be polled before each meeting to ask for agenda items.
- Member experience initiatives
- Enrollment/disenrollment information
- Call center (volume and cultural and linguistic competence)
- Grievances and appeals updates
- Medication adherence
- Annual preventive care
- Member satisfaction surveys
- Filling prescriptions for 90 or 100 days’ supply
- Mail order benefit review
